Mr. Del Casale has been performing as a soloist and chamber musician since 1983 as demonstrated on his CD, Zenobia. Mr. Del Casale’s love of the ensemble format has afforded him the opportunity to work with a variety of distinguished artists over the years. The New York Times and other industry periodicals have praised Mr. Del Casale’s artistry and musicianship in the ensemble format.


In 1997 Mr. Del Casale was introduced to Maestro Carlos Barbosa-Lima through their mutual friend Puerto Rican composer, Ernesto Cordero. After six years of assisting and learning the arrangements of Barbosa-Lima, Del Casale and Barbosa-Lima debuted as a duo at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in 2003. Since then Del Casale has assisted Maestro Carlos Barbosa-Lima in concert as the Maestro’s duo partner. It is in this collaboration that Mr. Del Casale is most recognized. In 2010 Barbosa-Lima and Del Casale were guest performers on WNYCSound check, with host John Schaefer and a few days later both guitarists appeared for a third time at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In 2011 Mr. Del Casale collaborated and recorded with legendary Brazilian percussionist Duduks da Fonseca and Carlos Barbosa-Lima in creating a video for Savarez strings.


In 2012 Barbosa-Lima and Larry Del Casale recorded the Micropiezas by Leo Brouwer for an upcoming ZOHO record label release. Both guitarists also performed in New York, France, Italy and Germany. 2013 the all Leo Brouwer recording. Beatlerianas featuring Carlos Barbosa-Lima, the Grammy Award winning ensemble, the Havana String Quartet and Mr. Del Casale received a Latin Grammy Nomination. In 2016 Mr. Del Casale recorded on and produced his latest recording with Carlos Barbosa-Lima entitled; Carlos Barbosa-Lima plays Mason Williams.


Mr. Del Casale is graduate of The Mannes College of Music where he studied under the eminent Albert Valdes-Blain and later with guitar virtuoso, Michael Newman. He is also a contributing author for Classical Guitar magazine.
